Summertime in the City- A Retro Outfit

It's my favorite time of year for getting dressed. No tights or jackets necessary, just short tops, skirts and sunglasses. I love being able to pull myself together in under 5 minutes. The other day I wore the above outfit. Typically I pair that black polka dotted shirt with a black skirt and black heels. However, I found that wearing it with a neutral brown helps to soften the look. Tying the shirt in the front and tucking it into the high-waisted skirt added a retro vibe because it invokes those crop top blouses that ties in the front.
